Text Messaging: Setup and Usage Guide for iOS, Windows, and Android

With AGENTVIEW, you can send text messages directly from your CRM using your phone’s built-in messaging app. That means real texts, from your real number, with no third-party apps like Twilio required.

How It Works: Syncing Your Devices

AGENTVIEW relies on your phone’s built-in texting tools. Depending on your setup, here’s how to make sure everything works properly:

🍎 Apple Devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac)

Apple has a built-in Messages app that syncs across devices.

To enable texting with AGENTVIEW on a Mac or iPad:

  1. Sign in with the same Apple ID on your iPhone and your Mac/iPad.

  2. On your iPhone, go to: Settings > Messages > Text Message Forwarding.

  3. Turn on forwarding to your Mac or iPad.

  4. Make sure iMessage is enabled on all devices.

✅ Once set up, when you text from AGENTVIEW, the Apple Messages app will open, and your iPhone number will be used.


🤖 Android Phones & Tablets

  • On an Android phone, AGENTVIEW will work immediately with your default messaging app.

  • On an Android tablet, it must be linked to your phone’s number. This usually means:

    • It’s using the same Google account, and

    • It’s part of the same carrier plan, or set up with Google Messages for Web.

✅ For the smoothest experience, use AGENTVIEW directly on your Android phone.


🖥️ Windows Devices (PC, Laptop, Tablet)

Windows uses an app called Phone Link to connect your computer with your Android phone.

To set it up:

  1. On your PC, download Phone Link from the Microsoft Store.

  2. On your Android phone, install Link to Windows from Google Play.

  3. Open both apps and follow the steps to scan the QR code and pair your devices.

  4. Allow permissions for messaging, contacts, and notifications.

✅ Once connected, AGENTVIEW can send texts from your PC through your phone’s number.


How to Send a Text in AGENTVIEW

  1. Log in to AGENTVIEW on your synced phone, tablet, or computer.

  2. Open the contact’s profile in your CRM.

  3. Click Text Contact.

  4. Type your message (or attach a landing page).

  5. Click Send – your device’s messaging app will open with the message ready to go.

Privacy & Syncing

  • AGENTVIEW does not store or track your messages.

  • Texts are saved only in your phone’s message history.

  • You can continue the conversation anytime, even outside of AGENTVIEW.

  • All communication remains private between you and your contact.

    ➤ Make sure your device is synced properly with your phone.

  • Landing page link missing?
    ➤ Double-check that the link was selected before sending.

  • Not sure if you’re set up correctly?
    ➤ Try sending from your phone first for the smoothest experience.
